Are the oils safe for babies?
The oils are safe for babies when placed onto the pad inside the diffuser. Babies under 3 months of age should not come in direct physical contact with oils as their skin is too sensitive for essential oils. Therefore, the diffuser has a secure mechanism on which you place Wunders essential oils, keeping them out of baby’s reach. A robust spring-loaded tray, with a secure locking mechanism, prevents your loved one from accessing the reservoir, which holds the oil-infused pad. NOTE: Because babies have more sensitive skin than adults, the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians advises that essential oils should not be used at all on infant’s skin under 3 months old. The Wunders diffuser avoids any possible contact and is therefore deemed safe.  
 

The diffuser is fan-based, does it make a lot of noise?
The diffuser has 2 fan-speed settings. Press once for ’Max air’ and twice for ‘Low air’. When on ‘Max air’, the diffuser creates a soothing white noise that facilitates a peaceful sleep by blocking out all the noise in your loved one surroundings. Simply set it on low-speed and the audio-optimized casing assures silence.
 

Why does the diffuser have to be inside the crib?
For essential oils to be effective, it is crucial that the diffuser is as close to the baby as possible. Only then, can the soothing ingredients effectively help your baby breathe better and find its calm. Other commercially available diffusers might make the room smell nice, but these are purely a placebo; the actual soothing effect is none. The Wunders aroma diffuser achieves a safe and direct aromatic airflow to the baby by a patented design, that enables a secure placement of the diffuser inside or outside of the crib. How do I know the oils are safe for babies?
Research has shown that the vapors from Lavender oil is safe for babies when applied via a diffuser. Wunders Sleepy Time is a 100% USDA-certified organic oil from France. Studies have shown that parents should be careful in using Eucalyptus. The type of Eucalyptus you buy for your baby is critical. While Wunders Breathe Easy is safe for babies, the most common Eucalyptus you find on Amazon, Walgreens or Target for example is the Eucalyptus Globulus. While oil from the Eucalyptus Globulus is safe for adults, it should NOT be used on children under the age of two. Wunders Breathe Easy is specially formulated by one of American’s top essential oil laboratories and originates from the Eucalyptus Radiata. This oil has a safe content of cineole and can therefore, when diffused, be used with babies.

Can you use the diffuser without having the lights on?
You can turn the light off. However, the indicator light stays on. The orange continuous mist isn't very bright, but the green intermittent light IS very bright. I've tried covering the indicator light up with masking tape but it stills shines out and keeps the room as bright as a night light. If you need total dark to sleep, this won't work well for you. see less
 

Are the oils optional?
No. At Wunders we want to assure the type of oils you use around your baby. The oil should be 100% USDA-certified organic. More importantly, parents should be careful in using Eucalyptus. How much oil do I use?
When using essential oils, more is not always better. They should be used carefully, just like anything else. We recommend 5-7 drops onto the pad for each use.
 

Is it BPA free?
The Wunders diffuser is JPMA-certified, has been tested by German’s top testing lab TÜV and does not contain any harmful chemicals. It is free of LEAD, Cadmium, BPA, and Phthalates. Also, it is FCC, RoHS, REACH and CE compliant.
 

Easy to clean?
It is very easy to clean. Nothing cumbersome or excessive parts to remove.
 

Do you have to plug it in?
No. You only have to plug it in when you want to recharge the battery. It comes with a USB charging cable and fully recharges the battery in 3 hours. The diffuser runs about 10 sessions of 30-minutes on a full charge. When not in use for the baby, remove it from the crib (including the clamp) and just place it anywhere in the house for the entire family to enjoy.
 

How long do the batteries last and how long does it take to recharge?

I am a single mom and not very handy, is it easy to install?
Yes it is. You don’t need tools to install the diffuser onto the crib. The diffuser comes with a robust clamp, just like a mobile, which fits in between any crib slats. Place it near your baby’s feet and direct the air flow towards your baby. There’s also an easy installation guide inside the packaging and on Youtube.
 

Does this product help scent a room?
It absolutely does. The scent from the oils easily covers a room of 300 feet.
 

How long do the pads last on which you drop the oil?
Each pad lasts about 1 month, so the included supply, lasts you almost 1 year. We recommend to not mix oils on the same pads. So exchange the pad if you switch between oils.  
 

Where to place oil?
The diffuser has a secure mechanism on which you place Wunders essential oils, keeping them out of baby’s reach. A robust spring-loaded tray, with a secure locking mechanism, prevents your loved one from accessing the reservoir, which holds the oil-infused pad. Open the tray by placing your thumb and index finger on the door latches. Press them inwards to unlock the tray, while sliding the tray out of the diffuser. Remover the tray completely and place 5-7 drops of Wunders oil onto the pad inside the tray. Make sure to do this out of your child’s reach, avoiding the risk to spill any oil by accident onto your baby or baby’s surroundings.   
 

Does it turn off automatically? will the light turn off as well?
The diffuser comes with a built-in sleep timer. It automatically turns off after 30 minutes. The light is only lit when the diffuser is in operation. The light will turn red when the battery needs to be recharged. When charging, the lit will blink and it will turn off when it is fully charged.
 

How is this 'portable'? Does that mean I can use it in different rooms?
The diffuser is multi-functional. First and foremost, it truly promotes healthy and safe sleep for your baby, the most important part in your baby’s development.  When the diffuser is not used for the baby, it can be used around the house or office, on a night table, desk, shelf, or counter. It comes with a stand so that you can direct the airflow into any direction. Now you can truly enjoy the soothing vapors.
